Any concept in order to be used in visual art raises many issues. The visual language I use to express my inner thoughts denote the understanding I had of the concept. I believe creation of art is a replica of the truth and art should always speak the truth. In the process of visualizing, I encountered two processes.- philosophical and the other technical. The former belongs to the mind and other related to the physical elements in a work of art. Philosophical element consists of in interest in the subject, knowledge, visual perception, and imagination. The physical elements include the usage of time, space and the other material mediums that finally give shape to a work of art. I believe the combination of all of the above leads to creation of objects of aesthetic value.
In the current series of my art works, I have used mix media with skill full use of colors. Different colors communicate different atmospheres. A few colors denote cool atmosphere, others warm and still others are about unbearable heat. Using the color combination, I have tried to depict the ups and down of in the material world.
The contemporary world has seen many technological advances than any other time of human history. The impact of technology on our thoughts and projects has changed the way we live and art is no exception. At times I feel technology is a challenge to the creative process and at the same time it can be harnessed to create a thought provoking art. I have kept both dynamics in mind while creating these paintings and drawings, based on experiments and the dynamics of aesthetics. - Jeevan Salian
ART GALLERY : ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಜಗಲಿಯಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಹೊಸ ಪ್ರಯೋಗ. ಚಿತ್ರಕಲಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಅನೇಕ ಮಜಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೂ ಒಂದು. ಚಿತ್ರ ಕಲಾವಿದ ತಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಕಲಾಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿಸುವ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮವಾಗಿ ಗ್ಯಾಲರಿಗಳು ಸಹಕರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಅನೇಕ ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರಕಲಾ ಗ್ಯಾಲರಿಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಹೆಸರಾಂತ ಚಿತ್ರ ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಕಲಾಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿ ಮಾರಾಟವಾಗಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
ಇಂತಹ ಗ್ಯಾಲರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನೇಕರು ಭೇಟಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ಕೊಡುವಂತ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಭಾಗದ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನವರಿಗೆ ಇಂತಹ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಇರೋದೇ ಗೊತ್ತಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ..... ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಡಿನ ಹೆಸರಾಂತ ಚಿತ್ರ ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಕಲಾಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಚಿತ್ರಕಲಾ ಪೋಷಕರಿಗೂ ಕಲಾವಿದರಿಗೂ ಸೇತುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಚಿತ್ರಕಲಾ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿ ನೀಡುವ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಜಗಲಿಯಿಂದ.....
